The Shawshank Redemption is a 1994 American film written and directed by Frank Darabont and starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman, The film tells the story of Andy Dufrense, who is played by Robbins. Andy Dufrense is a banker that was convicted of killing his wife and her lover despite claims of innocence. Throughout the film, his life in prison is followed, through trials and tribulations, both battling and helping the guards, helping fellow inmates and more. The Shawshank Redemption is a very high rated and popular movie. Despite just being an excellent movie, there are things that can be learned and taken away from a movie such as this, such as ethical implications and real life application of those ethical situations as well as dilemmas.
